I'm interested in studying structures that have been created by rifting between N. American Plate and the Eurasian/African Plate which leaded to the formation of the N. Atlantic Ocean. These structures are now buried deep below the ocean bottom and so their study have to be done by means of reflection and refraction seismology and deep borehole drilling. My thesis research project centers at interpretation of seismic results over the Grand Bank/Newfoundland Basin margin. Details are available at my Thesis Proposal webpage.
