CCFFR Venue 2004


OVERVIEW

This year's annual meeting of the Canadian Conference For Fisheries Research (January 8-10, 2004) will be held at the Delta Hotel , situated in downtown St. John's, NL. This hotel is located on the street of New Gower, just a short walk from Mile One Stadium, George Street as well as a multitude of restaurants and shops . Be sure to also walk around the nearby national historic site of Signal Hill and stop into the new Johnson Geo Centre.

ACCOMODATION

The special conference rate is $125 per night (single or double occupancy), plus applicable taxes. Additional people can share a room at $15.00 per person per night at a maximum of four total occupants per room. You can book accommodations now by contacting the Delta at 1-800-268-1133. Tell them the name of the conference when you call to get the special rate (the posted rate is considerably higher). NOTE: The preferred conference rate is only available if booked by December 18. HOW TO GET THERE FROM THE ST. JOHN'S AIRPORT

The hotel is less than 15 minutes away from the airport by car. Turn left onto Portugal Cove Road as you exit the airport. Stay on the same road, but keep in mind that the road name changes several times. The road becomes Kings Bridge Road as you get downtown; follow it to the end and then turn right onto Duckworth Street. Follow Duckworth to the end and turn left onto New Gower Street. The hotel is on the right at 120 New Gower Street.
