I am a physical
oceanographer working in the Department of Oceanography, Dalhousie
University, Halifax, Canada. I am in charge of a regional ocean
modelling group which consists of several graduate students, research
associates, post-doctoral fellows, and research assistants. The main
research interests of my group include the physical processes of
coastal waters and shelf seas, and simulation and prediction of marine
environmental conditions in the ocean ranging from coastal waters of
about 10 km such as Lunenburg Bay to the northwest Atlantic Ocean. The
main research tool used in my group is numerical ocean circulation
models at different level of complexity. As a faculty member in the
department, I am also responsible for teaching courses and supervising
