Dalhousie Coastal Ocean Prediction System (DALCOAST) is desinged and developed by the Department of Oceanography, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The present system is in its experimental (demonstration) phase and provides daily forecasts of the storm surge and coastal currents for the east coast of Canada. It is developed in collaboration with Environment Canada, Atmospheric Envrionmental Service and funded by Canadian Coast Guard and NSERC.
